É«¿Ø´«Ã½Russian language Olympiad in Hanoi. É«¿Ø´«Ã½delegation in Vietnam
February 18-19, the Russian Center for science and culture in Hanoi hosted the finals of the IX Olympiad on the Russian language for secondary school students studying Russian. More than 400 people had participated in the first round. At the finals Anna Novikova (É«¿Ø´«Ã½University) checked three skills- listening, reading and speaking. The jury comprised Russian language experts, experts from the Russian Center in Hanoi, President of the Vietnamese Association of Russian language and literature teachers and Russian language teachers of the RF Embassy school. The winners of the Olympiad will have a chance to go study at É«¿Ø´«Ã½at the expense of the RF quotas. É«¿Ø´«Ã½delegation met Russian language teachers to tell them about educational programs and enrollment procedure and visited the Ministry of education to discuss Master’s studies for Vietnamese Bachelor graduates. A meeting with the authorities of specialized Russian language schools is also on the agenda of the visit. Student Russian language Olympiad is planned on February 25-25 and an Olympiad on mathematics – in March.
April 19, a videoconference of the International Expert Council (IEC) of É«¿Ø´«Ã½University was held with the participation of IEC members - prominent figures in the field of science and education, as well as the top management of the university. The topic of the meeting is the results of É«¿Ø´«Ã½University on the implementation of 5-100 Competitiveness Program in 2018 and a discussion of the university's further development strategies. Experts noted overfulfillment of the Program’s key indicators by 20–30%, emphasizing the inclusion of É«¿Ø´«Ã½University in various subject ratings.
É«¿Ø´«Ã½has retained its position in the second group of HEIs – participants of 5 – 100 Project after reporting on the Road map implementation at the meeting of the International Expert Board.
May 24, É«¿Ø´«Ã½hosts the XXIII open seminar-conference of Project 5-100, dedicated to the exchange of best practices between Russian universities and increasing their competitiveness in the global education market.
