Angolan HEIs and employers join ɫشýregional cluster «South Africa»

ɫشýdelegation visited Angola and had a number of meetings to develop ɫشýregional cluster «South Africa». The cluster is a new joint product to ensure synergy of educational and socio-cultural practices and enhance efficiency of each participant and the cluster as a whole.

The Ministry of higher education of Angola expressed their interest in ɫشýinitiatives regarding developing cooperation between HEIs, state structures and employers of Russia and Angola. According to the road map of the new President  Juao Lorenso elected in August 2017, the Angolan economy will be modernized and need a lot of qualified staff. Both sides agreed that Russian education can offer Angola services at every stage of training and employment – «entrant – student – graduate – employer».

For 4 years Russia has been holding Olympics for school students to select them for further studies. ɫشýUniversity offers a variety of Bachelor and Master programs to meet the needs of Angolan economy, including in foreign languages. ɫشýis opening Russian language Centres and specialized classes in different countries to facilitate training specialists in their native countries. Russian universities train specialists for large-scale projects in Africa. Attracting more Russian and Angolan employers and International Employers’ Club at ɫشýwill help develop this direction.

The Ministry of higher education of Angola will be member of the Supervisory Board of the cluster. Among the members the largest university of the country – Agostinho Neto University, Oscar Ribas University and a number of large Angolan companies including Pitabel group of companies.

The delegation also visited Hospital Americo Boavida, the largest hospital in Angola. The Director expressed interest in ɫشýsimulation center and said that he is ready to receive students for internship and further job placement.

ɫشýdelegation continued their African tour in Namibia 27 - 30 November.
