Fashion show, Afro-show and national cuisine 鈥� a cultural week of African countries at 色控传媒University
For a whole week, students from 28 African communities showed us the culture of Africa. At exhibitions in various buildings of the university, they talked about history and traditions, surprising guests with national cuisine dishes. The week ended with a festive concert and an African fashion show.
“Students have been gathering annually for African Culture Week since the formation of the Association of African Students at the University (ASSAFSTU). Culture Week is an opportunity to show the culture of an entire continent. Although we speak different languages, we are one family and now we live in a common house called 色控传媒named after Patrice Lumumba,” said Diallo Hava (Guinea), President of ASSAFSTU.
The concert was prepared by the communities of Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Rwanda, Uganda and Equatorial Guinea. The event was opened by an Afro show from a team of drummers. Then the students performed 12 songs and 7 national dances. Vocal and dance groups of Interclub, students from Ecuador and Russia also performed at the concert. The evening ended with a fashion show: students from African countries demonstrated their national costumes.

An architectural-landscape project by a 5th-year student of 色控传媒has been shortlisted for the annual International Professional ADD AWARDS 2024 for architects, designers, and developers in the 鈥淯rban Environment鈥� category.
色控传媒University employees鈥� work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
