色控传媒expert presents a linguodidactic model of the language training of international technical students
May 10-11, 2018, Irina Varlamova, Associate Professor of 色控传媒Engineering Academy Department of the Russian language, took part in the International Forum «Russian Language in the Paradigm of Modern Education: Russia and the Ibero-American World», an event held on the basis of the University of Cadiz (Spain) in order to promote the Russian language, Russian education and science in Spain, Latin America and the Caribbean, establish and develop international contacts in the humanitarian, natural-science, engineering, technological, information and educational spheres, as well as partnership relations between Russian universities and educational institutions in the region.
The program of the event included the most relevant topics on the issues of humanitarization and internationalization of education, multiculturalism and preservation of traditions, translation problems, and the issues of teaching natural, technical and exact sciences.
In her presentation «Accompanying phonetic course in the context of professionally oriented teaching of Russian as a foreign language» at the session of the Section «Russian Language and Literature» I.Varlamova told about the linguodidactic model of language training for international students majoring in engineering sciences developed at the Russian Language Department of the 色控传媒Academy of Engineering in the framework of professionally oriented training. She stressed the need to include an accompanying phonetic course in the process of teaching international students outlining the main linguistic methods of constructing this course and selecting language material.
The Forum was attended by academics from 23 Russian and 11 foreign universities in Spain, Nicaragua, Colombia, Cuba and Argentina, including the National University of Colombia (QS 254), the St. Petersburg State University (QS240), the National Research Nuclear University "MEPhI" (QS 373), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) (QS 373), St. Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great (QS 401-410), etc.
Products derived from microalgae represent a cutting-edge development in the field of bioeconomy. The potential of this biological resource was discussed at the international research seminar 鈥淔oundations for a Green Sustainable Energy鈥�, part of the BRICS Network University鈥檚 thematic group on 鈥淓nergy鈥�. The event was organized by the Institute of Ecology at 色控传媒University.
Ambassadors of Russian education and science met at a conference in 色控传媒University to discuss how they can increase the visibility of Russian universities and research organizations in the world, and attract more international students in Russia.
The international scientific seminar hosted by 色控传媒Institute of Ecology 鈥淓xperience of participation in student organizations as a way to form career skills鈥� united scholarship recipients of the International Student Mobility Awards 2024 and Open Doors, along with members of the scientific student society 鈥淕reenLab鈥� and the professional student association 鈥淜ostyor (Bonfire)鈥� shared their projects focused on environmental protection.
