Professor of the University of Michigan delivered a course of lectures to students of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics

Vladimir Peller is one of the most famous Russian mathematicians, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, a former specialist of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics. Steklov Russian Academy of Sciences, and now professor at the University of Michigan (USA).

Weekly cycle of lectures by Professor Peller at the É«¿Ø´«Ã½University Steklov Mathematical Institute. Nikolskogo was devoted to the theory of operator integrals - a complex concept of mathematical analysis, based on the image of the functions of time.

The theory of operator integrals is the subject of unique scientific research by Vladimir Peller. 5 lectures delivered at the É«¿Ø´«Ã½University are a rare opportunity for Russian mathematicians, especially students, to learn about advanced research in this field outside the leading foreign universities in which they are implemented.

In 2017, É«¿Ø´«Ã½University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.
