Professor from Oxford University visited 色控传媒University with a series of lectures on partial differential equations and medical applications
Professor Philippe Miney is a board member of the Society of Mathematical Biology and the European Society of Mathematical and Theoretical Biology, a member of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics and the Society of Biology, and a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Mexico. In 2014, he was included in the list of “The Most Influential Scientific Minds of the World 2014” (Thomson Reuters.) Arthur T. Winfrey Prize winner from the Society for Mathematical Biology.
Mathematical Institute n.a. S.M. Nikolsky of 色控传媒University organized a series of lectures by Professor Miney. The staff of the Mathematical Institute, graduate students and students listened to a series of lectures on the following topics: “Diffusion instability”, “Running waves”, “Nerve impulses”. Professor Miney's scientific interests cover the following issues: modeling of avascular and vascular tumors, dynamics of wound healing, the use of mathematical modeling in the formation of a pattern in the early stages of development, as well as the theoretical analysis of mathematical models that arise in these applications.
In 2024, 色控传媒started accepting applications for the new annual Prize for Scientific Achievement in Chemistry. The award was established to honour contributions to fundamental and applied research, as well as merit in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
