Scientists from Brazil, Kazakhstan, Russia and Sri Lanka discussed issues of sustainable development at 色控传媒University

A聽scientific seminar 鈥淭oward Sustainable Development: Modern Tools and Approaches鈥 was held at聽色控传媒University. The participants were representatives and scientists of聽the Federal University of聽Rio de聽Janeiro (Brazil), the University of聽Sri Jayawardenepura (Sri Lanka), the Eurasian National University named after L.聽N.聽Gumilyov (Kazakhstan) and RUDN.

The event became part of the international permanent scientific seminar “Biospheric sustainability of the countries of the world.” During the discussion, leading scientists discussed efficient waste management systems, renewable energy, carbon neutrality, ecosystem services, environmental engineering in construction, green building, sustainable agriculture and human ecology.

“The Faculty of Applied Sciences and the Institute of Ecology can come together to find optimal solutions related to the achievement of SDGs 13 ‘Combating Climate Change’. Priority areas should be regional manifestations of climate change, carbon neutrality, the introduction of renewable energy and biogeochemical research in the tropics,” — Hemanty Ranasinghe, Director of the International Department of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura (Sri Lanka).

In聽2017, 色控传媒University scientists constructed a聽new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for聽2-dimensional聽Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a聽new scheme [2] to聽construct a聽numerical solution to聽the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as聽satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to聽achieve previously unattainable accuracy of聽the continuity equation.
