The National Demographic Report 2023 was published with the participation of RUDN. Demographic well-being of Russian regions

The National Demographic Report, 2023 Demographic Well-Being of Russian Regions (hereinafter - the National Demographic Report) was prepared by the scientific team of the Institute of Demographic Studies of the Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, ɫشý, the Center for Family and Demography of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as with the participation of leading scientists from the Republic of Bashkortostan, Stavropol Krai, Volgograd, Ivanovo, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk Oblasts and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra.

The National Demographic Report includes 2 sections. The first section is "Demographic development of Russia in the context of national security of the country" which consists of the analysis of the peculiarities of regulation of marital, reproductive and self-preservation behavior and development of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North on the example of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra in the context of national security of the country.

The second section is "Regional peculiarities of the demographic situation" which includes an analysis of the demographic situation in 12 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: Moscow and Moscow Oblast, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Tatarstan, Stavropol Krai, Volgograd Oblast, Vologda Oblast, Ivanovo Oblast, Kaliningrad Oblast, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug–Yugra.

The report is addressed to government officials, researchers, university professors, graduate students and undergraduates.

In 2024, ɫشýstarted accepting applications for the new annual Prize for Scientific Achievement in Chemistry. The award was established to honour contributions to fundamental and applied research, as well as merit in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A volunteer of the Red Army and head of the veterinary medicine course — Matilda Mityaeva's combat and scientific path

Matilda Pavlovna Mityaeva was born in 1925. In November 1942, she volunteered for frontline duty. She participated in the Great Patriotic War from November 1942 to June 1945 as part of the 53rd Infantry Division of the 475th Infantry Regiment. She was wounded twice.
